This Golden Era tune from the 1964 Bollywood film “Woh Kaun Thi?” (Who Was She?) was almost never recorded as director Raj Kohsla initially did not like it. However, after hearing the “Nightingale of India” Lata Mangeshkar’s soulful rendition of it, he was convinced of its beauty, and decided to keep the song in the film where it has endured to become a gem of Bollywood.
